CREATIVE portfolio

Here are a few of my representative projects as a communicator, designer, illustrator, writer and creative director. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Procter & Gamble: Grooming CEO Internal Presentation

A true professional highlight. I worked with P&G’s CEO of Global Grooming to develop an internal presentation for the company’s annual leadership meeting. After settling on a seafaring theme (and an idea to populate it with caricatures of his fellow execs), I developed a pictorial narrative of 23 slides bringing his key messages to life, which was used as the basis for the script and presentation.

Mastercard Chip Twitter Campaign

When Mastercard was transitioning to chip cards across the U.S., I developed a series of “Evolution in Security” cartoon images for social media and the brand’s website to compare the safety advances of the technology to similar advances in other safety-oriented products.

Disney Cruise line: Time-lapse Videos

When Ketchum pitched Disney Cruise Line, the team tapped me to do a series of scrappy time-lapse videos that allowed their campaign ideas to take shape during their presentation.

COMPASS: SHAFER-MCHALE COMICS

For the real-estate titan Compass, I’ve collaborated with the superstar Shafer-McHale team on a series of comic-strip stories about their adventures in the New York real-estate business, for print and social media.

THUNDER & SUNSHINE

I created a full visual identity for the children’s rock band Thunder & Sunshine, creating a logo, album artwork, props and costumes for photo shoots and live performances, publicity flyers, giveaways and music videos (one of which I directed).

Ketchum Brand Illustrations

When Ketchum refreshed its brand, I worked with the Creative Director to bring our new positioning to life through a series of original illustrations that embodied the brand assets, and the philosophies behind them, in a playful and engaging way.

Ketchum Coloring Book

I created and produced a Ketchum coloring book, which initially served as a client giveaway and was repurposed as our swag-bag giveaway for that year’s Cannes Lions Festival.

Spark Tank video

I led the development and execution of an ambitious Ketchum program encouraging internal entrepreneurship through a competition modeled on Shark Tank. Over three outings I planned and drove the overall logistics and communication plan for the program and produced all associated content. For the latest installment, we decided to have some fun and create a "billionaire" spokesperson as the face of the program. I wrote and produced this kickoff video and filmed a number of other live video announcements over the following months, culminating in a virtual broadcast.

Creative Agency of the Year

Two years running, when the Holmes Report (now PRovoke) shortlisted Ketchum for Creative Agency of the Year, I produced short social videos to bring to life the quote included in the finalist announcement. The first year I worked with a video professional to execute my idea, and the second year I developed an animated treatment on my own.

How to Recognize a Creative

To highlight Ketchum’s creative capabilities and drive recruitment, I proposed, wrote, illustrated and animated this short video to help explode some cliches about creativity, which was used to prompt an internal discussion about how employees in all types of roles bring creativity to Ketchum.

Ketchum Blog

I have been programming and editing Ketchum’s external blog since November 2019. I’m responsible for building an ongoing editorial calendar and working with Ketchum employees from the CEO on down to identify and develop written content on topics of interest to our audience of clients, potential clients and potential talent. I edit, proofread and select imagery for every post, consulting frequently with our Marketing lead to ensure strategic relevance and alliance with our brand guidelines; I also work closely with our HR, L&D and DE&I teams on content more related to the “empathy” side of Ketchum’s “empathy + intelligence” branding. Along the way, I often ghostwrite the initial drafts for many posts, such as these examples:

I also sometimes write posts under my own byline, such as these:
